The Brentwood Centre is following the government road map on Monday 29 March 2021 and is a phased re-opening so not all facilities or activities are initially available. Customers are encouraged to wear face masks when in the communal areas of the building. Please note that currently only card payments can be accepted.
Step 4 - on 19th July is the possible removal of legal limits on social distancing. This is subject to change. If you have a query regarding memberships or activities and events, please read our FAQ's below. Contact details are provided at the bottom of this page if you have any further enquiries.
How to book an activity
To pre-book and pay for an activity online please use the link below. Please note that you will be required to create a Brentwood Leisure Centre membership account before you can proceed to make your booking. You will not be charged for this, but you will be required to pay for the activity when you make your booking, so please have your credit/debit card details to hand.
Once you have created a membership account you will be emailed details of how to log on and pre-book further activities at the Centre in the future.
I paid up front for an annual membership will this be honoured?

I want a refund for lessons I have already paid for how can I get this?
Brentwood Leisure Trust has gone into liquidation so you will need to contact the Liquidators’ staff who will invite you to complete a claim form which, provided the claim is agreed, will be paid in proportion with other creditors should funds become available (contact details are below). If you paid over £100 in full or in part by credit card it might be possible to seek a refund from your card provider and you may wish to contact your card provider in this regard. When will swimming lessons re-commence?
Inline with the government road map, swimming lessons will be commencing from Monday 12 April. For more details contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Will it be the same scheme with the same classes and teachers?
Yes, when the swim scheme is open for booking it will be the same scheme that was previously run at the Brentwood Centre to ensure some consistency. For more information please contact email@example.com
Will there be an adult only time?
There are lane swims which are adult only.
Will more lane swimming be available once the lessons are back?
Lane Swims are now available to book.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours are 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday, and 6am to 1pm Weekends. Check the bookings website for available sessions within these times.
How many people can book into each lane?
Due to the COVID restrictions for laned swimming there will only be 3 lanes in operation and the capacity for each lane will be 12 people per hour.
I don’t want to swim in a lane as I want to just do my own thing is that still ok?
Yes, there will be some public swimming sessions that will be available. Please see above for details of how to book.
Will the changing rooms be open?
In regard to the swimming changing rooms we would ask customers to follow the COVID restrictions in place and follow the directional signage. We would encourage customers to social distance while in changing rooms and they are requested to come beach ready and leave their clothes poolside during their swim. They will then change in the changing village and leave by the appointed exit. (Please see below regarding changing rooms for gym users)

How do I get a refund for a ticket I have purchased?
You will need to contact the ticket agency that you purchased the tickets from.
Are there plans to hold events in the future?
Events are likely to recommence from September, but this is subject to changes to COVID restrictions. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The gym will be temporarily located within the International Hall and as such it will be a 50- station gym. Please see above for details of how to book.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours of the gym are 6am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, and 7.45am to 12.45pm at the weekend.
What hours can children use the gym?
The Government road map of the re-opening of the gym will be available to adults only. It is planned that future sessions for 11 -16 year old’s supervised by a qualified gym instructor will be made available.
Will lockers be available?
Due to the COVID restrictions lockers will not be available for gym users.
The changing rooms are currently shut so where can I change and shower?
Due to the COVID restriction the gym changing rooms are not available so we would encourage people to come ready changed and leave without showering.

What time will the sports hall be open?
Opening times are 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday, and 6am to 1pm at the weekend.
Will the cafe be open?
The cafe is now open.
Is the chat 1st project re-commencing?
Chat 1st have moved their sessions to other venues in the Brentwood area. Please see www.chat1st.co.uk for details.
I used to go and use the gardens can I still do that?
There will be limited opening of the Brentwood Centre. Currently this is not available, but the Council is in the process of reviewing all the services at the Centre.

Badminton Courts are now available for booking. Squash courts will reopen later in the year.
